Designed by Eric Glesser, the ButtonUp marks Spyderco’s debut into manual button-lock mechanisms, pairing ultra-convenient operation with one of the smoothest, most fidget-friendly actions in the lineup. Ball-bearing pivot washers give the modified clip-point blade a fluid, controlled opening, while the button lock provides secure lockup and intuitive one-handed operation. The full-flat-ground 8Cr13MoV blade delivers reliable cutting performance with a clean satin finish.

Its open-backed handle features peel-ply carbon fiber/G10 laminate scales, reinforced with nested stainless steel micro-liners at both the pivot and clip positions. A reversible hourglass clip supports left- or right-side tip-up carry, and a lined lanyard tube allows easy attachment of fobs or lanyards. Lightweight, modern, and mechanically refined, the ButtonUp is a standout addition to Spyderco’s expanding button-lock family.
