This elite expression of the Manix 2 Lightweight combines weight-saving construction, full-service cutting power, and the strength of the Ball Bearing Lock with the enhanced edge retention and corrosion resistance of CPM-SPY27. Developed with Crucible Industries, SPY27 blends vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, nitrogen, and cobalt through particle metallurgy — produced exclusively for Spyderco.

The leaf-shaped blade offers a long, gently curved cutting edge with a forefinger choil and jimped thumb ramp for maximum control. Skeletonized stainless liners, cobalt-blue FRCP scales, a reversible clip, and an oversized lanyard hole round out a USA-made folder with elite pedigree. The Ball Bearing Lock drives a caged ball bearing forward to wedge the blade open, and releases smoothly while keeping fingers clear of the edge.
