The Calypso is one of Spyderco’s classic mainstays — a workingman’s folder founded on the premise that a comfortable pocketknife should feel like a natural extension of your hand. The Caly 3.5 is the larger version of the original three-inch Calypso Jr., now in a premium variant with a ZDP-189 blade and carbon fiber handle.

The leaf-shaped blade is made of three layers of steel: a high-carbon ZDP-189 Japanese powdered steel core laminated between softer, pliable 420J2 layers. Full-flat ground with a PlainEdge, it passes effortlessly through material, while a substantial finger choil and mid-positioned back-lock deliver ergonomic control. Great ergonomics mean more control over the cutting edge.
