The second-generation Military 2 enhances the venerable Military model with a high-strength Compression Lock mechanism and the versatility of a four-position pocket clip. This expression raises the bar even higher with a blade crafted from Spyderco’s proprietary CPM-SPY27 steel.
Starting with the time-tested VG-10 formula, SPY27 increases carbon, molybdenum, and vanadium and adds niobium and nitrogen. Crucible Industries’ particle metallurgy process ensures uniform alloy distribution, maximizing edge holding, toughness, and corrosion resistance — with peel-ply G10 scales in signature cobalt blue. Designed by Sal and Eric Glesser, it’s a modern classic built for hard use. The four-position clip supports tip-up or tip-down carry on either side.
