The Military 2 is the evolved successor to one of Spyderco’s most iconic and enduring folders. Unveiled at the 2022 BLADE Show, it blends the original Military’s proven form with Paramilitary 2 features and subtle ergonomic refinements from Sal and Eric Glesser — and took home BLADE Magazine’s American-Made Knife of the Year at that show.

It swaps the LinerLock for Spyderco’s stronger, spine-mounted Compression Lock, which resists accidental release and closes one-handed without fingers in the blade’s path, with a precision-machined bushing for exact blade alignment. Skeletonized stainless liners nested in peel-ply G10 scales and an open-backed build trim 0.2 oz while adding strength, and the pocket clip is now fully configurable for left/right, tip-up/down carry. A larger 50/50 choil and a slightly narrowed handle improve control and comfort. A full-flat CPM-S30V clip point blade with a satin finish completes the package.
