Spyderco’s Military 2 continues the legacy of one of the most respected hard-use folding knives ever made. In this refined evolution, the classic LinerLock is replaced with a Compression Lock for increased strength and spine-side operation. Designed by Sal and Eric Glesser, the Military 2 also receives ergonomic enhancements, an open-backed construction, and expanded carry options that bring modern usability to a proven design.
This version features a satin-finished CPM-S30V combo edge blade—a fusion of slicing and tearing performance in one profile. Peel-ply textured black G10 scales house skeletonized stainless liners, reducing weight and improving strength without compromising its balanced feel. With a four-position clip and improved choil geometry, the Military 2 is versatile, mission-ready, and fully ambidextrous.

This is a great knife in any configuration, plain or serrated edge.. the blade length, nearly 4 inches allows the combo edge to have about 2 inches devoted to both serrated and plain and it does an excellent job with both. Where a large work knife is needed this knife excelles. It has a large comfortable handle with a finger choil for choking up for precision tasks and operates smoothly one handed even with gloves . Only change i made is to put on a Lynch NW long deep carry clip. . Came fas from S&R. I highly recommend
