The original Temperance fixed blade was both a utilitarian cutting tool and a proud member of Spyderco’s “Martial Blade Craft” (MBC) family. To let MBC practitioners safely practice with a partner, Spyderco also created a trainer version with a blunt edge and point — and this limited-edition Sprint Run resurrects that concept.

Its blunted blade is crafted from 420J2 stainless steel, flat ground with a series of holes that closely replicate the weight of its live-blade counterpart, plus a rounded point and edge safe for controlled contact. Its injection-molded FRN handle is bright red to clearly identify it as a training tool, and it comes complete with a dedicated Boltaron sheath and G-Clip. For serious students of defensive knife tactics, it is the perfect complement to its live-blade brethren.
