This unique expression showcases a full-flat ground blade crafted from CPM-SPY27, a cobalt-enriched particle metallurgy stainless steel developed specifically for Spyderco. The blade is complemented by G10 handle scales molded in a distinctive cobalt blue — a signature color of the family of knives featuring this proprietary steel — with a wire clip for tip-up, left/right carry. A wire clip completes a package made for pocket-friendly everyday carry.

This version of the UKPK is possibly the best. I have the same bladed FRN version, but the full back spring, bronze washers, the 4 pin construction, the peel ply G10 handle make the knife a superior product.
Mine came with a solid walk & talk sharp blade, a superb eating knife.

My other Spyderco folding knives are lockable, so I wanted a non-locking slip-joint to remind me of the pocket knives my dad used to carry back in the 60s & 70s. However, this Spyderco is much more refined, which gives me the best of the old & the new. Its fit & finish is first rate, and it feels great in the hand, even more so without the pocket clip. At only $135, I had to add it to my small, albeit growing, collection.
